Jason Zhang
Jason Zhang is a Chinese-born, U.S.-raised artist and designer whose work explores the intersection of craft, humor, and taboo subject matters. He uses wit and absurdity to engage with themes such as death, addiction, politics, and mental health as both a coping mechanism and a tool for systematic critique. Holding a BFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and currently pursuing an MFA in Furniture Design at the Rhode Island School of Design, Zhang creates objects that blur the line between function and narrative, inviting viewers to confront discomfort with curiosity and empathy.
